I chose this product as my 20yr old Miele finally gave up in the bearings department, and the choice of another Miele and one that claims to be quieter for an open plan kitchen/diner area was a no brainier. After using it for 2 weeks, I have definitely made the right choice as at full spin there’s a much quieter and preferable low hum which is unobtrusive in the background. The express 20min cycle (with max 1200rpm) is my favourite for freshening up laundry, though an additional spin needs to be run afterwards if one wants to utilise the 1400rpm option. That said, the 1200rpm is perfectly adequate for most garments and I only sometimes feel I need to do this, and it’s not a problem.

So far so good, only had it for a month but doing the job.

The reason I brought this machine is, ideal for a family, it’s A rated so is cheaper to run. It’s also very quiet and is easy to use. Plus you can’t go wrong with a Miele machine as it’s will make so will last a lot longer

Does what it says on the website

Usual superb quality that you receive when you pay for a Miele. A little disappointed that the warranty has been reduced to 2 years. Still, come to think of it, we have only had one warranty issue in the 40 yrs that we have been using Miele washing machines and dishwashers.

Quality well built

Even though this is not a high-end Miele, it’s the second one we’ve had. The first one is still going strong 20 years later in another property, and from the second it was unpacked you could just feel the quality of this one too. What I love about it is that it has enough tech to feel modern, but not so much that is overwhelming. A sensible number of features to get any kind of washing done, without all the peripheral stuff we’ve seen on other machines. First few washes, I was amazed to see that the clothes were actually cleaner than ageing mid-range ‘lesser-brand’ machine it was replacing. Also the machine’s intelligent sensing of washing to asses load and cleaning requirement is superb in practise and of course helps conserve energy usage. Genuinely never thought I’d feel this way about a washing machine! Feels like the extra outlay is more than worth it.

It's Miele, so I hope still head and shoulders above the rest. But not as quiet and smooth as my last Miele so I suspect they are building the newer models with cheaper components.
