Great customer service from start to finish. Excellent product, didn’t want the electronic display of the next model up. Wondered how I’d get along with the twindos detergent system, but I needn’t have worried. It’s terrific. Comes with two big capsules/tanks to get you well on your way with washing, and a voucher for an immediate 6 month supply..which I ordered, and arrived 2 days later. Machine has a really large drum. Big front window panel to see everything and how thoroughly it’s being washed, and a great selection of programs. Read the instructions through once and glad I took the time to as I now select the program definitely best for the load into washing. I’ve had little washed in stains of curry and tiny blood spots on sheets, from where my youngest had itched her eczema..all washed in stains, lifted after a 3 hour cycle with the Twindos system. Delighted!! Also easy to use your own washing liquid/powder/pods and override the Twindos system once detergent runs out, if you’d rather not replace it. Worth every penny this machine. Very quiet even on top 1600 spin. Delivery fellas great. Removed old machine and took it away, installed new one. Worth the additional fee. My last Miele machine has lasted 18 years, two minor repairs in the last 2 years, and I’m hoping this will last too. The Rolls Royce of machines.

After much deliberation I took the plunge and ordered this machine. I was impressed with the programme options and wanted something that should last. It arrived the next day, the delivery people were very careful and I had the machine working in no time. Once I’d read the instructions I found it very easy to use although completely different from my previous and (very) old machine. It came with two full bottle of washing liquid and vouchers for an additional 6 months supply but you can also use your choice of liquid and powder. I preferred this model without any chrome and this particular machine is more expensive directly from Miele so AO was the best option for value. The machine is much heavier than I anticipated, you definitely need two people to move it. All in all, very happy.

Got this as a replacement to a Bosch whose bearings went after 7 years of hard use. Hear great things about the longevity of Miele machines - so here's hoping. Picked this model for the 1600 spin speed and 9kg capacity. Clothes come out pretty dry - so air drying is not an issue. Machine itself is nice and quiet (once you figure out how to switch off the annoying 'I'm finished' bell). Huge manual with loads of options - but really will be mostly using the Cottons setting. Initially it says 2h30ish, after a little churning it normally drops to 1h30ish (presumably smaller loads). For me - this is just fine. It has Wifi - but really what's the point? Why not 5 stars? - the door hinge is on the Right - no other option for Miele machines (apparently it is so that you can have your tumble drier side be side - but given you can swap a hinge on a drier, but not a washing machine - I think they have it all wrong). My machines is in the left corner of the room - so the ergonomics don't work (lots of reaching over the door to get at the clothes).

Wow ... what a machine .. I knew Miele was impressive - but this is marvellous. Having pre owned a Miele washer for 18 years - and only ever had one engineer out ... the switch started sticking.. probably could have been repaired - but decided to treat myself. So glad I purchased this. At first thought it was a little sci-fi - but it all becomes clear ... Well done Miele - and with 6 months of detergent free .. what’s not to love!!!

I've never owned a Miele washing machine before but had been recommended to buy them by my neighbour who is an appliance repair man. I opted for the 1600 spin based on the fact that Miele are currently offering a 10 year warranty on these machines. I wanted a product that is built to last. It is far more complex than any other machine I've precision owned so its going to take some time to fully get to grips with all the features but it was easy enough to jump straight in with the main wash programmes. I haven't set up the twin dos system yet but plan to do so as the product was supplied with the machine asking with a voucher for another 6 months supply free of charge which I've ordered. The machine is amazingly quiet compared to previous machines I've owned. It is also significantly heavier as Miele use cast iron counterweights rather than the concrete used by other manufacturers. I've only had it a week but so far, so good!

It has a very solid construction, it's quiet, and has a huge range of programs. Its functions are more complicated than the old model we had, but that one was 16yrs old. I had to read the manual before starting to use it. TheTwin Dos detergent feature is a good idea, but the replacement cartridges are pricey, having said that, i haven't worked out the cost per wash versus the usual laundry detergent. I didn't see from the picture, but there is a 'perspex' cover in front of the glass door, which is a great idea to prevent little fingers getting burnt on hotter wash cycles. I hope this machine lasts as long as my old one.

Hard to get too excited about a washing machine... unless you’re a mum with a busy household and an Airbnb to launder ... this machine has just blown my mind. It’s so quiet, so efficient, leaves laundry smelling amazing... and it’s just... incredible. Buy it!!
