The split type is the amount of space you have in the fridge and freezer cabinets. There are 3 split sizes available – 50/50, 60/40 and 70/30.
If you’re upgrading or replacing an appliance, make sure that you choose a model with a split type that matches your existing fridge freezer. This is so the hinges are in the same place and the door to your integrated cabinet will still fit.
The first thing to consider is the height of your new integrated fridge freezer. Models range in height from 130cm to 200cm, so to make sure you get the perfect fit, measure from the top to the bottom of your existing appliance.
The standard width of an integrated fridge freezer is normally 55cm. However, some wider models can go up to 60cm. So to make sure your new fridge freezer will fit snuggly into your kitchen cabinet, simply measure your existing appliance from edge to edge.
Integrated cabinets are often the same depth as your kitchen worktops for a seamless look. With this in mind, most integrated fridge freezers have a depth of 55cm.
So when it comes to measuring, you don’t really need to worry about the depth. If you do want to double check though, simply measure your existing appliance from the front to the back.
