I am really impressed with this machine, it works better than I expected and it means I will save a lot of money as I wont have to have to employ expensive cleaning companies.

Puchased mainly to help my daughter whos house had been flooded during heavy rain and caused damage to most of the downstairs carpets . Once the water problem had been solved she was left with a very large cleaning problem . As only limited funds were available I researched for the best available carpet cleaner at an affordable price and there seemed to be a unanimous winner , the bissell ProHeat 2X Evolution . I can only praise this cleaner as it over performed on all my expectations . If you need a product to do similar tasks then I wouldn't bother looking any further. An easy 5 Star decision !

Decided that I needed to replace my old and tired carpet cleaner with something a little more up to date, hopefully with new improved technology as my previously, substantially cheaper carpet cleaner had started to spring leaks. I'm glad that I did. It turned up exactly when expected but oddly only had two cleaning solutions rather than the three mentioned in the instructions. Having said that, the two included were more than enough to put it through its paces. Trying first on my hall carpet which is fairly short and is light coloured, figuring it would be about the best test since it's probably seen the most traffic, it removed stains that had been ingrained for longer than I'm comfortable admitting ! The double brushbar made quick work of it, though it did use rather more of the cleaning solution that I was expecting, perhaps that's more to do with my overuse rather than anything else. I'd rather get impressive results than save a bit of cleaner anyway. I followed the hall up by doing the stairs and landing, and wow! looks as though the carpet has only been down a few weeks rather than 10 years, it brought the pile up and removed all stains beautifully. I used the extension hose and the respective tools where necessary and whilst they seem to leave the carpet slightly more damp than the main vacuum part, the results were every bit as impressive. Totally worth every penny !

I bought this to replace a vax carpet cleaner which has been replaced by vax 4 times in 1 year due to the same fault (the belt tensioner keeps melting). This is a much better appliance. It cleans much better and is easier to keep the appliance clean after use. I would highly recommend this over the Vax products.The only criticism is that a hard floor cleaner attachment is not included(which is standard with the Vax). I would have hoped for the price of it, this simple attachment could have been included with the product which would make it much more versatile in homes with carpet and hard flooring.

This is the second Bissell carpet cleaner we have had, the last one lasted about 12 years, and this new one is so much better. The design engineers ought to be congratulated on a superb design. Filling it for use is clean and easy, the collection tank (dirty water) is easily removed and emptied, and when your finished the rotating brush mechanism is very cleverly made to come apart for removal of fluff, fur, hair that enevitably gets wrapped around the brushes. Only two minor criticisms, the fill tank screw cap lid would be better if it had a retaining strap so that you can’t loose it and add a few quid to the price a fit rubberised flex cable instead of the cheap pvc stuff that takes a set curl. It cleans carpet good too!

I'm very pleased with bissell carpet washers. So when my old one developed a problem after many years of use, I checked what was this years top 10 carpet washers and this one was top of the list.

This is our 3rd Bissell machine and the best so far. The last one, (a Proheat 2X) lasted 12 years and could possibly have been revived again, but we decided to try a newer machine and we're glad we did. This model came with a good selection of tools and several samples of cleaning fluid, is much lighter than its predecessors, easier to fill and empty and much easier to clean after use. The most important bit, it does a great job of cleaning the carpet! (We have two large dogs, so a good cleaner is essential). Expect to have to fill / empty the tanks 3 or 4 times though on deep clean mode if you have a dirty carpet, maybe more in a large room, but bigger tanks would obviously mean a heavier machine. I think we probably killed the last machine by not rinsing it out thoroughly after EVERY use, so we'll try and look after this one a bit better. Time will tell, but if this one lasts another 12 years, we won't be complaining!
