I said I would never buy a vax again but somehow managed to do it. Washes well but almost impossible to clean the head. Triedhose, pressure washer and soaking in thebath. Ifanyone else know how to get it cleanlet me know.

Ok product, but noisy and leaves carpets very wet! For the amount of water it uses very little dirty water sucked up! Feel a little disappointed

Only had it a short time, but it des the job very well, is easy to assemble and is pretty simple to use operationally. I recommend buying A LOT more detergent though as the one provided isn't nearly enough to cover more than 2 rooms in one session. It can be a pain to constantly refill the water, but it's easy to do with this machine. I previously hired a much larger Rug Doctor with a bigger water capacity. I was constantly refilling that as well, so it's more of an issue with carpet cleaners generally rather than this machine specifically. Overall...well worth the purchase for domestic, occasional use.

This works extremely well, my carpets and sofas never looked better. However, after having it for 15 months (and only used maybe 4 or 5 times) there is smoke billowing from it and a burning smell. The warranty is 12 months, so frustrating!!

OK only as it seems to pick a lot of the pile up so gets blocked very easily even after a very good vacuum before use.

I’ve been on the verge of buying a carpet washer for almost a year now, and I always talked myself out of it until now, and I am so glad I went ahead and got this one. It’s fantastic, and makes the carpets look, feel and smell so much cleaner! The water tank is easy to fill with solution, and the dirty water tank empties so easily without any danger of spillage. It’s not the lightest thing to carry, but when you’re pushing it along the floor it doesn’t feel that heavy and goes along with ease.

We bought the same carpet cleaner about 2 years ago,it was OK not a lot of suction,our new one is far superior. Good all round performance.

Only used it once so far, so please remember that. It works really well on light dirt, especially with the pre-treatment. It goes through the detergent like it's going out of fashion, so that could end up being expensive if you use it a lot but the results were good. On par with a brand you can hire from certain supermarkets and DIY stores. The machine itself is quite loud bit not unbearably so, it also feels a bit flimsy but I can live with that, for the price and that it's not going to be used all the time. Takes a while for the carpets to dry - I kept going with the suction until I could see no more water being sucked up but it still took overnight for the carpets to dry, so if speed is your thing, this may not be for you, but the carpets were only slightly damp afterwards, anyway, so not really a massive problem unless it's a high traffic part of the house. Shaun, though, when you see the dirt it removes, it's worth it.
