Hotpoint TB7960CBF 59cm Induction Hob - Black

Product Overview
Fall in love with cooking all over again with this induction hob from Hotpoint. Because it has 4 induction zones, it’s great at saving energy, as electromagnets target the base of your pots instead of heating the whole surface. As an extra safety feature, this model also comes with special pan sensors, meaning it’ll only get hot once it’s detected your pan on the hob. And if you’re running late and need your pasta to cook quicker, the handy boost mode will give you an intense burst of heat to speed things up. Just use the simple touch controls to adjust the settings, and you’ll be scoffing your favourite meal in no time.

The ultimate sous chef
With My Menu at your side, you can master any meal. The 4 automatic functions —melting, boiling, keep warm and slow cooking — will have you serving up everything from spaghetti carbonara to braised beef. It even stops your pans bubbling over and food sticking, so you can cook with confidence. It’s time to find your apron and pull out those chopping boards.
Combine zones to make room for larger pans
With Flexi Duo, you’re covered for every occasion. Simply move your pot from one zone to another while maintaining the same heat level – perfect if you need that bigger ring for the potatoes. You can even cover the entire surface with one large dish. Time to find that recipe book and get your pans on to warm.
One touch for total control
There are no buttons or dials on this stylish hob. Instead, with a tap of a finger you can turn on your chosen cooking zone, select your ideal temperature and even lock the hob to prevent any accidental changes. So, you’ll be able to choose each setting with ease and precision.
Get cooking in record time
Hate waiting for your hobs to heat up? With boost power, you don’t have to. Just hit the button and, within 4 seconds, the heat will reach its maximum level for 4 minutes. So, whether you’re boiling a pan of water or searing a rump steak, your pots and pans will be ready for cooking in a jiffy.
Heat indicator prevents burnt fingertips
Because this hob has a residual heat indicator for each zone, you’ll find it much safer to use. When an area is still hot, the red light will turn on – so you’ll know there’s still leftover heat to keep food warm. Then, the light switches off once the zone’s cooled down. This shows when it’s safe to touch again, letting you wipe it clean without risk of burning your fingers.
Tips for measuring up
When measuring for an induction hob, the depth and height are usually standard, so you should focus on measuring the width – it’ll be between 60 and 90cm. Also, you need to make sure no cupboards will hang over the hob, and that there’s at least 65cm between the hob and your cooker hood. Learn more with our guide.
