If you’re planning on setting up a smart kitchen system, the first thing to do is check which products are compatible. For example, if you’ve already got a Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa speaker, it makes sense to find smart lighting, appliances, and heating products that’ll work with them. You might need to get a smart hub that can connect the different devices together, so you can control them from one app.
To clean your induction cooktop safely, first make sure it’s cool. Residual heat indicators are a great feature for this as they stay lit while warm. If in doubt, refer to the manufacturer’s advice before cleaning. We recommend giving your hob a wipe down with warm water and soap after each use, but if it needs a good scrub, you can use gentle sponges and special cleaners that are designed to put the sparkle back into your induction hob. Avoid any abrasive materials like steel wool as you don’t want to scratch your appliance.
Air fryers work by using hot air to surround your food, meaning you can cook with less or no oil and still get crispy results. Plus, you can cook all sorts of in them, from meat and fish to chips and veg. Dual air fryers are great for this as you can have the main in one drawer and the sides in the other. Need some inspo? If you’re not sure that your oven temperature’s accurate, you can always check it with an oven thermometer. Set the temperature you want, once it’s at full heat, pop your oven thermometer in the centre and shut the door. Then turn on your oven light and check the temperature. Some models come with precise temperature monitoring built in, so they’re accurate to within a couple of degrees.
