Throughout January, the words ‘fat-free’ and ‘healthy’ dominate blogs, newspapers and magazines, and, I bet you’ve even noticed fewer people dipping into the biscuit tin at the office. But we’re only human, and from time to time we need to have a treat; a little sweetener to keep us on track. That’s exactly what this peach and blueberry smoothie is. The skimmed milk and Greek yoghurt make it taste more like a milkshake than a healthy drink and the fruit has a lovely sweetness to help curb your cravings for more sinful treats.

    Here's what you'll need...

    • 240ml skimmed milk
    • 2 peaches
    • 80g blueberries
    • 4 tbsp fat-free Greek yoghurt

    Here's how it's done... Step 1

Wash the fruit before de-stoning the peaches and chopping them into small chunks. Leave the skin on the peaches – it adds to the flavour.

    Step 2

Pour the milk into a liquidiser, before adding in the fruit. Spoon in your yoghurt and blend on a medium setting for a couple of minutes, or until completely smooth.

And serve! This is one of the quickest – and tastiest – smoothie recipes I know. It also works really well with almond milk if you prefer dairy alternatives. I have this smoothie for breakfast or in the afternoon when I start to feel like I need a boost. It has replaced sugary treats as my new go-to snack, and my waistline is definitely thanking me for it!
