Here’s how to make Normandy style mussels. We’re using a Samsung Steam Oven. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner this would be the perfect meal to surprise your loved one with and enjoy alongside a glass of wine.

Steam cooking offers you an incredibly healthy way to create a variety of meals. Whether it’s healthy steamed salmon or chicken and rice thanks to the specially provided dish, you simply use this with water that’s added into the top of the oven and cook as normal – with healthier, tastier results!

Taking just 15 minutes to steam this is actually an incredibly quick and easy meal to prepare.

    Here's what you'll need...

    2kg mussels
    ½ bunch fresh parsley
    3 shallots
    350ml dry white wine
    2 sprigs fresh thyme
    1 bay leaf
    150ml half fat crème fraîche

    Here's how it's done...

Finely chop the parsley and pull the leaves off the tyme and set aside.

Rinse the mussels under cold water.

Finely slice the shallots and place into a large tray, add the parsley.

Place the shallots and parsley into the steam oven and steam until soft.

Take the tray out of the oven, add the bay leaf and thyme. Pour the white wine on top, add the mussels and mix all together.

Place into the oven and steam for a further 3 minutes.

Now add the crème fraîche, mix and steam for a further 5 minutes or until all the mussels have opened.
