Tried and Tested: Can Shark’s new cordless vacuum cleaner free you from tangled hair?

Want a vacuum cleaner that goes the extra mile? Shark’s new IZ300UK cordless model is a match made in heaven. With impressive run times, tangle-free tech and an innovative new brush-roll design, you’ll never miss a spot again. We asked Danielle from @ahomefitforkings to test it out for us, here’s what she thought…

Because we’re a family who all have long, thick hair, I really wanted to try Shark’s new Anti Hair Wrap with DuoClean cordless vac. It really appealed to us, as our hair has always clogged previous vacuum cleaners. We’ve got both an attic and a basement too, so there’s a lot of ground to cover. I was keen to see if this model could easily clean the house from top to bottom with one charge, which it did! When fully charged up, the battery lasts up to an hour*.

*In ECO Power mode, with non-motorised tool.

Hey Danielle! We’ll kick off with an easy one – what were your first impressions of the model we sent you?

My first impressions were that it looks really smart, particularly with its metallic and copper detailing. I also really liked the LED smart display, because it tells you how much battery you’ve got left, the floor type and what suction level you’re using.

Great stuff. We asked you to see how easy it was to clean your house with it, what did you think?

It was really easy to clean the house from top to bottom because it’s super-lightweight, and the Flexology feature means it’s manoeuvrable and can easily slide under sofas and beds. I also found that the LED lights on the front are a brilliant feature – our living room is quite dark, so this helped. It was also handy for vacuuming under the cooker.

And, how does it compare to other models that you’ve used in the past?

It worked just as well on my hard floors as it did on the rugs, and it picked up all of the dirt from our brick floor. With previous vacuums, I’ve had to go over and over some bits before they’ve been picked up. (Flexible PowerFins mean better contact with hard floors and carpets to pick up more dirt in one pass**).

    **Versus Shark IZ201UK

That sounds so much easier. Finally, would you recommend this product? If so, who to?

I’d recommend it to everyone – especially if they’ve had issues with clogged hair before (this one has Anti Hair Wrap tech that prevents it getting tangled).
