Whether you’re planning a children’’s Halloween party or you just want to have some fun gifts to hand for the trick or treaters, these cute bags are super easy to make and the kids will love them!

 

here's what you'll need...

  • Black cotton fabric
  • Black card (I found some great glittery card in my local art shop, but normal card is fine)
  • Our downloadable bat wing template
  • Stick on googly eyes
  • String or ribbon
  • Craft or super glue
  • Fabric scissors
  • Paper scissors
  • Alphabet stickers (optional)
  • Halloween treats

here's how it's done...

    Print off the bat wing template and cut out the shapes. Use these templates to then draw around on your black card, and cut them out. Make as many pairs of wings as you need.

    Cut out squares from your black fabric. Mine were approx. 30cm x 30cm –but you can make them bigger or smaller if you wish.

    Place your Halloween treats in the middle of the fabric and gather it together and tie with string or ribbon.

    Stick 2 eyes on the front, and then glue your wings in between the folds of the fabric.

    Trim any excess fabric off where you have tied the string. For an added extra –if you know who the bags are for, you can add a gift tag with their name or initial for a personalised gift.

    Even if you don’’t want to give these away to those pesky kids, you can always just use them as fun decorations around the house at Halloween time! Fill them with newspaper instead of treats.
