    • 1 ¼ tsp baking powder
    • ½ tsp mustard powder
    • 1/3 tsp salt
    • 30g un-salted butter, slightly softened
    • 40g cheddar, grated plus a little extra for topping
    • 1 tsp chopped thyme leaves
    • 25ml milk, plus a little extra for topping
    • 2 tbsp sour cream
    • 1 medium egg

    Step 1

Select Steambake on your oven and preheat to 205°

    Step 2

Add the self-raising flour, baking powder, salt and mustard powder into a large bowl and mix together.

    Step 3

Combine the butter and crumble by hand until it looks like sand.

Sprinkle in the cheddar and thyme.

    Step 4

    Step 5

Add the sour cream and stir well. Then pour over the dry mixture and mix until stiff.

    Step 7

Place on a tray, brush with milk and scatter with cheese.

    Step 8

    Step 9

    Serve immediately and enjoy
