After 12 years as a brand strategist for London advertising agencies, the fun had been had and the rat race was taking its toll. Kathy quit with no idea what to do next. But rural life beckoned and, as well as starting her blog award-winning, Gluts & Gluttony, she got a job growing vegetables at Daylesford organic farm in Kingham, Gloucestershire and later working in the cookery school and restaurant. 3 years, several placements (at places like River Cottage) and lots of training later, Kathy is a member of The Guild of Food Writers. G&G has grown into a full time venture through which Kathy teaches cookery classes, hosts supper clubs, and also writes for food magazines such as Crumbs, Delicious and The Huffington Post. She also runs a private cooking business with her business partner, Mandy. She cooks seasonal, home grown food which celebrates the harvest – no frills or frippery.
