    Truffle mummies

It's the season for having fun with food and these Halloween truffle mummies just scream brilliance!

    Here's what you'll need

    • 200g digestive biscuits
    • 100g full-fat cream cheese
    • 150g milk chocolate (for coating)
    • 50g white chocolate (for the bandages)
    • Edible sugar eyes (or white chocolate chips + black writing icing)

    Here's how it's done

    Step 1

Pop the digestives into a food processor (or a ziplock bag and bash with a rolling pin) until they’re fine crumbs.

    Step 2

Stir in the cream cheese until everything sticks together nicely. It should feel like a soft, doughy mix

    Step 3

Scoop out spoonfuls and roll into small balls. Line them up on a tray with baking paper and chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes.

    Step 4

Melt your milk chocolate and dip each ball in until fully coated. Pop them back on the tray and into the fridge again to set.

    Step 5

Drizzle melted white chocolate over the top to look like mummy bandages. A spoon or piping bag both work a treat here.

    Step 6

Stick on sugar eyes while the white chocolate’s still soft. No sugar eyes? No problem—just dab a bit of icing on a white choc chip.
