Top Cleaning Tips For Kettles

Lemon juice or white wine vinegar

The easiest solution to this problem is to add 1 tsp of either lemon juice or white wine vinegar to a full kettle and boil. Then simply empty out the contents and repeat the process, this will leave your kettle looking as good as new!

Bicarbonate of soda

To prevent limescale build-up, which could inevitably flake off and end up finding its way into your morning cuppa, bicarbonate of soda is the best tool to call upon! Simply add 2 tsps to a full kettle of water and boil, then discard the water and give it a thorough rinse out. Make sure to repeat this exercise fortnightly to keep on top of any build ups.

Clean the outside too

Don’t forget to pay some attention to the outside of your kettle, as that too can get pretty grubby. Simply give the whole thing a wipe down using an anti-bacterial cleaner to make sure that you get rid of any nasty germs. If you have a stainless steel kettle you could try using olive oil, it’s actually very effective at removing all of those sticky finger prints!
