    How to clean your laptop

Stephanie Foat, computing expert at AO.com, shared her expertise on why it’s important to clean your laptop.

Follow her simple step-by-step guide below:

To clean your laptop, start by unplugging it from power and turning it off. To clean the body, use a microfiber cloth dampened with water or alternatively a mixture of water and rubbing alcohol. Make sure the cloth is not too wet, just slightly damp. Gently wipe the body in a circular motion, being cautious not to apply too much pressure.

If there are stubborn stains or dirt on the keyboard, you can use a cotton swab dampened with the cleaning solution.

After cleaning, use a separate microfiber cloth to dry the laptop thoroughly. It may take a few passes to remove all the dirt and stains.

To clean your laptop screen simply use a dry microfibre cloth and run it over the screen. To properly disinfect your screen, wring out a disinfecting wipe to ensure it's not oversaturated and gently wipe your laptop's screen horizontally and vertically.
