Whether it comes inside your TV or you buy it as a separate box, once it’s in your home Freesat is completely free to watch. Whereas Freeview uses an aerial, this connects to a satellite dish – so make sure you’ve got one. This little difference gives you loads more channels to flick through, so you’ll never be bored on a rainy day.
Paying over the odds for Sky or Virgin? Unless you’re after certain channels, you may as well switch to Freesat and watch everything for free.
Freesat comes with over 170 channels to scroll through, including over 20 in HD. From kids’ telly to music and history, there’ll be something for everyone.
Watch the shows you want, when you want, with on demand. Missing the soaps for your kids’ swimming lessons? Watch them in peace once they’ve gone to bed.
Check what’s on for the full week with the 7-day guide. Plan ahead and see if any shows are going to conflict with an event, and make a mental note of anything you’re itching to watch.

Already got a satellite dish? No need to buy a new one – just hook it up to your TV or box and start exploring all the channels. Easy-peasy!
