We have only used it the once so far to clean the hallway carpet. The machine is quite heavy once fully loaded with cleaning liquid and water. From the condition of the waste water I would definitely say that it worked. You could certainly smell the cleanness. As long as you take your time and go over the area slowly both with the cleaning solution and to clear the liquid, it leaves the are slightly damp which drys with an hour or two using the deep clean function. However we have very short haired carpets so may take longer depending on your carpet.

Vax rapid carpet cleaner is amazing. It’s so much better than the big named red one. It’s so much easier to handle. There’s no measuring out the cleaner fluid as the vax does it for you!! It leaves my carpets like brand new and dry within an hour easily. It’s also easy to take apart for emptying and cleaning. It’s an Ali round winner in my house. 6 children and 2 dogs.
