    Smeg kettles have a soft opening lid, making them much safer and easier to fill up at the sink. Instead of shooting open like other models would, it’ll softly open without the unnecessary force. This not only prevents droplets of water splashing onto you, but it’ll also let steam from inside the kettle escape slowly, so you’ll never be blasted with hot vapour either.

    Thanks to variable temperature control, you can cater every boil to a different blend of tea. There’s a lever at the bottom, and by nudging it left or right you can increase or decrease the temperature that your water boils too, in intervals of 10 degrees. So whether you prefer an earl grey, a loose leaf or a herbal remedy, you’ll always be able to find the best setting to complement each cup.

    Spend less time scrubbing and more time supping

    This model comes with a limescale filter, anti-slip feet and a cable tidy, for easy maintenance around the clock. Inside, there’s a hidden stainless steel element which traps deposits and stops them building up, so every sip is as great-tasting as the last. The anti-slip feet keep the kettle secure too, and the cable tidy means there’s no loose wires clogging up the worktop.

    Catch up with your friends over a hot brew

    With a 1.7 litre capacity, you’ll have more than enough hot water to make you and a few friends a drink at once. You’ll get 6 mugs of tea or coffee from one boil, and if you forget to top up before you flick it on, the auto shut off feature will automatically switch it off for you. This makes it much safer, and prevents accidental damage to the inside.
