This Microsoft bundle pairs the Gears of War: E-Day game with the limited edition XBOX Wireless Controller, so the story of Emergence Day arrives with a pad made to match it. Set 14 years before the first Gears of War, the campaign follows Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago as the Locust Horde erupts from below, and you can play it alone, side by side in split-screen co-op on the sofa, or with up to 4 players online. Horde Siege brings back wave survival for co-op nights, while refined 4v4 Versus matches play out across new maps. It's all rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5, running at 4K resolution and up to 60FPS. The controller carries 3D moulded, laser-etched cracks that glow red, blacked-out ABXY buttons with a transparent red X, and the Crimson Omen right on the front. Nice touch: the COG tags printed on the battery door.
