Kyoto in the Edo period should be a place of shrines and temples, but clouds of Malice have twisted the capital into something far darker. Fiends from the underworld, the Genma, now stalk its streets, and the city has fallen into dread and panic. Into all this walks Miyamoto Musashi, a fierce young samurai who came to prove himself in the way of the sword and found a stranger path waiting. On his arm sits the Oni Gauntlet, a mystical artefact that gives him the strength to cut Genma down and absorb their souls for power. A voice rings out from it, though whose voice is anyone’s guess.
