    Indoor S’mores

Fancy toasting some marshmallows from the comfort of your own home? Give our indoor s'mores a try, the perfect naughty treat for Autumn!

"Until a few years ago I had absolutely no clue what s’mores were. I actually had to ask an American friend what this thing is that seems to make an appearance all over US sites every autumn! When she explained it to me I thought, “well that sounds extremely naughty… but good!” So I’ve looked to embrace the s’mores autumn trend with this indoor version because I’m not planning on having a campfire any time soon. Also, it is, admittedly, a British version with digestive biscuits instead of graham crackers. One word of warning: s’mores will a) never look very pretty and b) should be approached with caution because they are seriously gooey, sweet and more-ish (the latter is where the name apparently comes from). But they do make for a very naughty treat. Enjoy!"

    Here's what you'll need...

    • 12 plain digestive biscuits
    • 150g chocolate chips (dark or milk, depending on preference)
    • 150g marshmallows

    Here's how it's done... Step 1

Preheat your oven to 220C and line a baking sheet with greaseproof paper.

    Step 2

Lay the digestive biscuits onto the paper then top each with around 2tsp of chocolate chips.

    Step 3

Cut the marshmallows into halves to make them shorter.

    Step 4

Now top the chocolate with 3 marshmallow halves, sticky side down.

    Step 5

Put into the preheated oven and bake for 5 minutes until the marshmallows are golden on top.

    Step 6

Remove from the oven (they will come out with the marshmallow pretty puffed up only to deflate whilst cooling) and leave to cool for a minute to avoid burning your mouth.
