    Nothing feels better than hanging up your cloth after scrubbing every surface until your reflection shines back at you. And, in celebration of that very feeling, we’ve made our own AO Sparkling House Wine. After all, it’s no coincidence that the words “house” and “sparkling” link so closely to hard graft and glorious grapes.     Spring cleaning’s BIG in Britain

    We asked Brits how they feel about annual spring cleaning, and the results show it’s a much bigger moment than most of us realise. There’s a lot of satisfaction from the yearly deep clean, which makes it worth every minute.

    Here’s what we found:

    • 46% see a spring clean as 1 of their biggest achievements of the year.
    • 38% feel accomplished after, 24% feel proud, and 17% are positively buzzing with their spring-cleaning efforts.
    • 75% of people clean with a friend, partner, housemate, or family member.
    • 24% prep as early as 1-3 months in advance.


    Some even compared it to big life events:

    • 15% say it’s like watching their favourite sports team win.
    • 12% compared it landing a new job.
    • 11% likened it buying a new car.
    • Some even compared it to seeing their baby’s first steps (too far?)

    Ready for a refresh?

    Now you’ve seen the stats, here’s everything you’ll need to get that proud feeling yourself:

    • Rubber gloves – hot water’s great for cleaning but isn’t so good for your skin.
    • Your favourite cleaner – every room will feel fresh as a daisy after.
    • A speaker – to pop on that motivational playlist when you need it. Not got one? It’s okay, you can borrow ours here.
    • A vacuum cleaner – those crumbs won’t remove themselves.
    • Your top surface sprays – think kitchen, bathroom, all purpose, whatever gets the job done.
    • Bin bags – because you never know when a decluttering mood will hit (just roll with it).
    • A mop or steam cleaner – so your floors glisten after.
    • Microfibre cloths – you’ll want to keep a few of these handy to leave streak-free surfaces everywhere you go.
    • A drink to hand – start off with a brew or a refreshing glass of water… you can reward yourself with something bubbly later.
