Electric oven installation
Find out everything you need to know about our electric oven installation service.
Our fully trained installation team can get your new electric oven installed and ready to go on delivery day for just £115. We’re up to the task and fully approved by the NICEIC. That’s the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting. Who? Only one of the best electrical assessors in the UK, so you know our standards are high. Find out what’s included in this service and what you can do to prepare for us.
What we'll do
If you’ve selected our connection service for your new appliance, we’ll happily disconnect your old one for you.
When we arrive, we’ll unpack your new oven and disconnect your old one. Don’t worry about cables. We’ll bring everything we need to get your new oven installed.
Before we leave, we’ll make sure your oven is level and working so you can get cooking. We’ll also take at least 8 pictures during installation, just so we’ve got a record of the service.
If you've chosen our Remove & Recycle service, we’ll take away your old oven when we leave.
What you need to do
Make sure your current electrical connection (plug socket or big red switch) matches what your new oven needs. If your new oven is over 3kw, then you’ll need a 16Amp or 32Amp fuse - a big red switch. If your new oven is below 3kw, then you’ll only need a standard 13Amp fuse – a regular plug socket.
Compare what you have with the details of your new oven on the Key Information tab on our product pages to make sure you’re all set.
Double check that the height, width and depth of your new oven will fit into the space in your kitchen. You can find oven dimensions in the Product Detail section on our Product Pages.
You’ll need to let us know if you’re switching from a gas oven to a new electric oven in the basket. If you are, then we’ll send one of our qualified Gas Safe engineers to take care of installation. Don’t worry, this won’t cost you a penny more.
What we don't cover
Here’s everything our installation service doesn’t cover.
- While we can make small adjustments like changing cables or cooker switches to fit your oven, we won’t change any other part of your home. We’re only here to fit your new electric oven, after all.
- Installation for cooking products is only available on certain days in certain postcodes. See what days are available to you in the basket.
FAQs
- How much does installation cost?
Installation is £115 per product. Sometimes we do promotional discounts which you’ll see on our product pages and basket when browsing the site.
- I’m ordering two products - do I have to pay twice for installation?
Yes. You have to pick the service for each item in the basket.
- I have a gas oven - can you uninstall it before installing an electric one?
Yes. Please let us know in the basket.
- Can I add installation after ordering?
Yes, you can. But this might affect your delivery day, as it depends if any of our engineers are available. You can add installation up until 2pm the day before your original delivery date. Jump on live chat or give us a ring to get this sorted.
- Can you install on a different day to delivery?
No. Installation can only be done on delivery day.
- Do you hardwire?
Yes, we can hardwire your oven as part of our installation service.
- Will you disconnect my old oven?
Yes. This is part of our installation service.
- How soon can I have my oven installed?
Installation is available 7 days a week, but this depends on your location and what engineers are available. You can see what dates are available by adding a product to the basket and entering your postcode.
- Do you install at weekends/bank holidays?
Yes, we do. This depends on where you are and what engineers are available. You can see what dates are available by adding a product to the basket and entering your postcode.
