Washing up doesn't have to be the loudest thing in the house. This Beko bPRO 500 dishwasher hums along at 42dB, and turning on SilentWash in the Auto or Intensive programmes takes that down by up to 2dBA compared with the same programmes run without it, so a full load can go through while you're chatting in the next room. The brushless ProSmart™ Inverter Motor helps here too, as its design makes it quieter and more durable. Each cycle uses 9.5L of water.

Inside, the lower basket takes plates up to 29.5cm, so those big platters you only bring out at Christmas actually fit. The upper basket drops or lifts to three heights with rack sections that fold flat, and the cutlery basket lifts out so you can load knives and forks at the sink. Beko loaded the lower basket with 16kg and ran it through over 100,000 cycles, so it's built for the long haul. When the programme ends, SelfDry™ nudges the door open to let air move around the dishes, no tea towel shuffle needed.
