Big clear-up after a get-together? Pop the lot in this Smeg freestanding dishwasher and leave it to work through 13 place settings in one go, which suits a medium-sized household nicely. The patented Planetarium Wash System moves the spray arm in a double rotation at 65 turns per minute, so jets of water reach into corners and the back of baking trays instead of sweeping the same path. In a rush? The 27-minute express programme has wine glasses sparkling again before the next round. The AquaTest turbidity sensor reads how cloudy the water is and adjusts the cycle length to match how dirty the dishes really are, while the FlexiZone half load option cuts back water and energy use when you're only filling half the drum. The lower basket takes 30cm plates, so oversized dinner plates and big serving platters go in without a fight.
