Sunday roast or a quick midweek stir-fry, this Hotpoint built-in ceramic hob handles both. It measures 58cm across and has 4 zones on a glass-ceramic surface, including a double ring zone at the left rear that switches between 120mm and 210mm, so a small milk pan and a big wok both sit properly on the heat. Touch controls sit along the front, and the digital timer counts down while you get on with the rest of the meal.
