The machine is a cut above and the 5* service from AO definitely worthwhile. It unfortunately took 3 attempts at this washing machine as the first 2 were faulty…no fault of AO….the 5* service was such great value for money….why keep the faith with 3 machines?…..it washes so well….clothes smell fresh even if having to dry inside on the radiator…,the 49 minute wash often reduces to 37 if a light load and makes you wonder why you would do longer washes. Not tried steam function yet but absolutely love this machine now we have a fully functioning one….thanks for sorting ????

Decent sized drum, intuitive controls, very quiet in use and stable when spinning. Have managed to cut back on detergent use and Calgon tablets as has an integrated water softener that uses dishwasher salt. Hopefully this will mean a cleaner and longer lasting machine. Pleased with purchase.

This is a really good washing machine, it is very quick and cleans exceptionally.

This machine has replaced an existing AEG model. The new model is so much quieter much quicker on the wash cycle and is ultra efficient to run. I was hesitating replacing the old machine, but it has definitely been worth it.

Quality control issues, brand new washing machine delivered faulty. Following AO's advice, we called AEG to let them know the machine has been delivered faulty, they say that because we installed the machine ourselves, we would have to pay a call out fee to get it checked. We call AO, who put us through to AEG, spend 25 minutes on the phone, AEG insist that the machine cannot be faulty and that there must be a problem with our plumbing or installation, not the machine and that an engineer needs to check it. The next available appointment is 6 days away. The engineer comes, confirms it is faulty, needs a new part to be repaired and it will take over a week. Overall, we're very surprised that AEG quality control doesn't pick up issues like this.

I wouldn’t have considered this machine normally and have settled for a much cheaper alternative. However after deciding to give it ago, I found myself eagerly awaiting it and I was not disappointed. It looks so swish - the light on the drum makes it so much easier to see what you are doing, especially as my kitchen isn’t blessed with the best lighting. My washers have a tough life with 4 kids, adding in that football, rugby and horse riding! Previously found myself needing to rewash items either because they didn’t smell right or because they were still dirty. Impacted on this was the increase in washing detergents and softeners needed for these additional washes. Cant say how pleased I am that all my washing has come out clean and smelling nice first time with my aeg beast. Also found clothes are less creased, the mix I think of massive drum and the technology aeg have used in its design. I haven’t fully got to grips with all the controls as yet, there’s certainly plenty of choice and options. The 45 min cycle I really like - its ideal to rinse through school clothes ready for next day. The buttons are a tad too sensitive to touch, its location in the kitchen means I have annoying caught it several times. All in all - it’s a super piece of kit, I’m very happy with it.
