Got a sink full of plates after a big Sunday roast? This Midea freestanding dishwasher takes 14 place settings in one load, which suits a larger household washing up once at the end of the day. Inside, the stainless steel tub and three baskets give bowls, pans and mugs their own spot, and the upper basket shifts between two heights when tall glasses need the headroom.

The LED display counts down the remaining time so you know when the load will be ready, while salt and rinse aid indicators light up when it's time to top up. The self-balancing hinge holds the door steady wherever you leave it, handy when you're loading a heavy casserole dish. Simple stuff, but it makes the everyday bits easier.
