Six induction zones sit across a glass surface 80cm wide, so this Smeg hob can take on a full Sunday roast without a queue of pans waiting their turn. Auto-pot detection picks up pans from 9cm across and fires up the zone underneath, which saves you hunting for the right control. Speaking of controls, the Evo Slider touch strip runs along the front edge and only lights up while you're cooking. Each zone runs at 2100 Watts, rising to 3000 Watts on double boost when you want a pan of water moving quickly. It drops neatly into a standard 80cm kitchen module, too.
