This cocktail will keep you warm on Bonfire Night!
Bonfire night is one of my favourite events of the year. The myriad of colours lighting up the sky is so beautiful, but there is one down side: the cold. Hats and scarves only go so far when you’re spending an evening in the British outdoors in November, which is why you’ll need a Guy Fawkstail to keep you warm. Sip this delicious hot cocktail whilst you’re standing by the fire and you’ll forget all about the nippy weather.
Here's what you'll need...
- 400mls vanilla chai tea, without milk
- 50mls of whiskey
- 50mls of amaretto
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
Here's how it's done... Step 1
Boil the kettle and using just one vanilla chai teabag, make 400mls of tea. Pour the tea into a jug and add the whiskey and amaretto and mix well.
Step 2
Add a teaspoon of sugar to the cocktail and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Now pour the liquid into a flask.
Step 3
And enjoy! The natural spices in the tea work really well with the whiskey and amaretto. This is a lovely warming drink, which isn’t overtly strong in flavour, but will take the edge off of a cold Bonfire night. And remember to pack some marshmallows – this cocktail tastes even better with a toasted marshmallow on the side.
