    Next time you’re craving your go-to unhealthy cereal in the morning, why not whip up a refreshing smoothie bowl instead? They are becoming a popular healthy alternative to even ice cream or frozen yogurt. You can start simple by throwing together your favourite fruit and some greek-style yogurt or fire up the blender and give this green smoothie a whizz.

    Now for the best bit – the toppings. This is where your smoothie bowl really gets to show off. Want something crunchy? Sprinkle on some granola or a handful of chopped nuts. Feeling fancy? A swirl of nut butter or a few shavings of dark chocolate will do the trick.

    Fresh fruit adds a juicy pop of colour – think sliced banana, strawberries or a handful of blueberries. And if you're feeling tropical, a bit of coconut or pineapple never hurt anyone.

    There are no rules here – just go with what you love. The only limit is your imagination (and maybe what’s in the fridge).
