Looking for a tall freezer? Upright freezers tend to have a standard width and depth, but the height of each can vary from one model to the next. You’ll be glad to know that the dimensions of every upright freezer we sell can be found on the product page, making it really easy to find. 

Other freezer models, like chest freezers or American fridge freezers, can vary in width, with some models reaching up to 150cm, while integrated freezers typically have a width and depth of 55-60cm to fit standard housing units. For undercounter freezers, the average height is approximately 85cm. Therefore, it's important to consider the space beneath your worktop. Remember to add an extra 5cm to your measurements to allow for proper ventilation and ensure optimal performance. 

TLC for your upright freezer

h2>Freezers don’t need too much maintenance to stay ship shape. Just check on the coils every now and then, giving them a quick dust to keep everything running smoothly. If you notice an icy build up, it might need defrosting as this can dry out your food and make the motor work unnecessarily hard. If you’ve gone for a no frost or frost free model, if you notice an unusual amount of ice, it could be worth asking an engineer to take a look. Keep your freezer stocked to help it maintain an even temperature more easily, but never overfill it. This will stop the cold airflow and can overwork the motor. Other bits and bobs to check include the door seal – this keeps cold air in and warm air out, so it’s really important that it does its job. And if your freezer starts buzzing louder than usual or making a knocking noise, it could be worth having a professional check it out.
