Cooking smells hanging around long after the plates are cleared? This Neff integrated cooker hood pulls up to 594m³/h of steam and grease out of the air, with three speed settings so you can keep it gentle over a simmering pan or turn it up when steam builds up. The 185 Watts capacitor motor tops out at 67dB, and two LED bulbs cast 265lx of warm 3500K light across the hob, so you can see exactly how your food is browning.

Set it up ducted through the 15-centimetre socket, or fit the recirculation kit (sold separately) to filter the air back into the room. The stainless steel grease filter catches the coarse stuff and washes clean, while the Long-Life Clean Air Filter uses activated carbon to hold on to finer particles and stubborn odours. It can be refreshed three times and lasts up to four years, so there's less to buy along the way. Handy, that.
