    Bad choice - follow-up

    2/5
A follow-up to my review below. We eventually worked out how to take out the frame for the cutlery trays without damaging anything (nothing in the virtually useless instructions) so now the dishwasher is usable. Now just have to buy an alternative cutlery basket that takes sufficient cutlery for a full size dishwasher, since as below, we have had to remove the cutlery trays and the provided basket is understandably small. One good thing - the runners on the bottom basket work well.

    Bad choice

    1/5
I deeply regret buying this dishwasher. Certainly it looks pretty (silly me - that's the reason I chose it and convinced my husband that it was a good idea) and if you're the sort of person who only drinks tea from cups and saucers, drinks anything else from very small/short glasses and eats tiny portions of food from small plates, it is probably great. However, if you're a normal working person who drinks tea from mugs, eats from standard UK-size 27cm plates and drinks soft drinks (or beer!) from pint glasses, forget it. The details say that the maximum plate size is 30 cm - huge! However, a 27cm plate requires you to lift the top basket to the middle setting (no problem) but then the cutlery trays prevent you from putting any more than 4 pint glasses in the top basket. "Fine" you might think - the cutlery trays are removable - I'll just take them out and use the (small) cutlery basket. No - the cutlery draw frame is still in the way, so the upper basket and cutlery tray get stuck together on the tall glasses - no good. In case that isn't enough, the dishwasher is a nightmare to fit (the plastic, adjustable feet are almost inaccessible, one arrived cross-threaded/jammed and another collapsed) and what you can't see on the pictures is the big black plastic lump that sticks out of the back as far as the stainless steel top. This means that if you are fitting the dishwasher under a worktop and have cable trunking on your wall behind your kitchen units, the dishwasher won't fit under a 60cm worktop - it will stick out. We had to sink the trunking into the wall. In summary, this dishwasher is a nightmare unless you want to build your kitchen and life around it. It probably washes well but I dislike it so much that I can't wait for it to break down so that I have an excuse to get rid of it.

The dishwasher is much better than my old one. I particularly like the 27 minute cycle which cleans perfectly. One star taken off because couldn’t find any instructions on how to adjust feet to level. Obviously should have paid for installation!

    Smegtastic!

Took a while for me to decide on a make but that was just because I had Smeg on my mind! Finally ordered an have to say I was a bit concerned about the cutlery tray but it’s great! It splits into two trays and one slides under the other which then gives you extra standing on 2nd tray. Thumbs up there! I know not ideal for no screen showing how long left but I found you can look between top and door and see numbers. It works for me.

    Great stainless steel dishwasher

    5/5
Great stainless steel dishwasher with full door. Lots of programmes, quiet operation, opens its own door when finished. Has cutlery rack (removable) as well as cutlery basket. The top rack can easily be moved up or down.
