Original hood installed was failing after 12years so opted for this AEG as was a perfect match size wise and 50% better air extraction flow than my old one. Cheaper options were available but thought if needing a replacement may as well get a more powerful one. Installed myself as a DIY project and was relatively easy do to (4hrs to remove old and install new), just make sure have all tools & correct wall plugs ready. Some reviews mentioned its too loud...yes it is loud...but what do you expect from an extraction fan! Have definitely noticed the extra power compared to my old so very happy I upped the spec to this. Only downside for me was top bracket of chimney - the screws are at the back but I was installing with coving either side so had to drill holes at the front & bracket to secure and fit.

Very easy to install and good quality

We didn’t fit in our new kitchen until a month after we purchased it. Annoyingly it had a fault so had to book an engineer direct through AEG rather than get a replacement. The unit was horrendously noisy, making an absolute racket on the high setting. Advised a plastic part had been left in during production, so not sure how it passed quality checks. Also said suction rubbish, tiles had water running down them from condensation. Told we needed to order a duct to help with this. No mention in installation manual. Anyway we had to order this, fit it ourselves and buy clips to fit it in. Done all this and still not fit for purpose. Still making a racket. We had a cheap hood in old kitchen which did the job. Never had AEG before and wish we hadn’t bothered. What a waste of money.

Great product with sleek look and high extraction rate. Price was the cheapest in the market when I bought from AO. Happy with my purchase.
