Sunday lunch gets easier with this Smeg Cucina double oven. The 61-litre main oven uses thermo-ventilated heat for even browning, so a tray of roast potatoes crisps top and bottom, while the 35-litre second oven sticks to static heat with a bottom element for pastry that sets properly. Four cooking functions and a thermostat running from 50°C to 250°C cover everything from proving dough to a blistered pizza base.

The Circulaire function in the main oven cleans the air as you cook, so a fruit crumble won't pick up the smell of whatever is roasting beside it. Ever Clean enamel lines both cavities, applied edge to edge and fired above 850°C to leave a low-porosity surface that grease struggles to stick to, so a quick wipe usually sorts it. Rapid pre-heating brings the cavity up to temperature up to 50% faster than a standard heat-up on the same oven, though how much time you actually save depends on the temperature you set.
