Hand the washing-up over to this Hisense freestanding dishwasher. It takes 16 place settings across three baskets, which suits larger households and anyone who likes to cook for a crowd. The top basket adjusts for height, its racks fold flat, and cutlery gets a tray of its own up top.

Behind the door, an inverter motor keeps things running at 40dB, so a cycle won't drown out the telly in an open-plan room. Wi-Fi connectivity links the machine to the ConnectLife app, where you can see the water and electricity used per week, month or year alongside estimated costs, handy for working out when to put a load on. AutoDry then eases the door open once the cycle finishes, so plates dry off ready for the cupboard without you reaching for the tea towel.
