Cooking smells don't stand a chance with this Indesit chimney cooker hood. It shifts up to 432m³/h of air, so the steam from a pan of boiling pasta clears quickly instead of drifting into the next room. At 60cm wide it lines up with a standard hob, and a running noise of 65dB is low enough that you can still hear the radio while you cook. Two LED bulbs, 5 Watts each, light the pans below, and the push buttons sit right on the front, so nudging the speed up mid-stir is no bother. The aluminium grease filters lift out and go straight in the dishwasher, and the ducted connection on top takes a 15-centimetre pipe with a 1.5-metre cable to the socket.
