It sits above a 60cm hob and can be ducted outside or set to recirculate, whichever suits your kitchen. The clever bit is DropProtect, a nano-coating on the glass that stops water droplets forming even when the hood is switched off, so nothing trickles down into the pan below and there's much less wiping down once you're done, based on Hotpoint's internal testing under ordinary cooking conditions.
