Please note: this model has a Power Management Function. Some induction hobs can be plugged in at the wall, rather than needing an electrician to hard-wire it. If you choose to plug in, the Power Management Function will limit the power to each zone. For example, if you have a 13 amp connection, the heat levels across all four zones cannot add up to more than 12. So, if one zone is on level 8 and you turn another zone to level 7 (8+7=15), the first zone will automatically be reduced to level 5 (5+7=12).

Get a stir-fry sizzling within minutes of switching on with this Bosch Serie 2 induction hob. Induction heats only the base of the pan rather than the glass beneath it, so the surface around your pan stays cooler and less heat drifts off into the room. It plugs into an existing socket, so no electrician is needed, though mains power is capped at 3700 Watts. That means the hob shares power between zones once you have more than two pans on the go, worth knowing if you often cook big batches.

The left rear zone climbs to 3100 Watts when you tap PowerBoost, heating water up to 35% faster than that same zone running at its highest standard power level, based on a large pan filled with water. Handy when the pasta is already weighed out. QuickStart spots where you have set the pan down and lights up the matching zone on the touch panel, so you can pick a level and crack on. ChildLock keeps the panel fixed once you have things where you want them.
