So, you’ve bought that new sleek single oven or traditional range cooker, but you don’t have a clue how to install it. You'll need to use a qualified electrician or Gas Safe engineer. Don’t panic, we offer a brilliant Installation service, so our experts will do the hard work for you. Phew.

- What is included in the cost of installation?
As part of our Installation service, we’ll disconnect your old appliance, install your new one safely and securely, and run a health check to make sure your new cooking appliance is up and running.
- Can I choose my delivery day?
We offer delivery 7 days a week, including weekends, on all items. So, you can choose a delivery day that suits you.
We schedule deliveries from 7am right through until 7pm, and when you enter your postcode, we’ll show you all the options available to you.

- What do I need to do before my cooking appliance is installed?
- Make sure you’ve removed any combustible items from the hot zone. This is the space between your hob and cooker hood that gets hot when cooking.
- Double check that there is an existing gas or electric supply to the place you want your appliance installed.
- Make sure you have a three pin electric socket or a big red switch within 1.5 meters of where your new cooking appliance is going to live. We can add up to 1.5 meters of new gas pipework if it’s needed.
- You’ll need to know where your gas or electric meters and fuse box are, as the drivers will need access to these.
- Make sure there’s suitable ventilation (a window or door to the outside world), in the room where your new cooking appliance is going to live.
- If your gas or electric meter is pre-paid, make sure that there is available credit.
- Can you disconnect my old appliance?
We will disconnect your old appliance as part of our Installation service.
- What if I don’t have adequate ventilation in my kitchen?
If you want a gas cooking appliance, you’ll have to make sure you have enough ventilation, such as a window or a door to the outside world. If your kitchen doesn’t have this, we’d recommend choosing a suitable electric model instead. You can browse our range of electrical cooking appliances by clicking here.
- How do I check the hardwiring or amp rating on a product?
You’ll be able to find this information in the product specifications on the product page. Alternatively, you can find out this info in your user manual.
- Will my appliance be connected by a qualified fitter?
All our expert engineers are Gas Safe registered, approved by the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) and are part of the Safe Contractor scheme. So, you can rest assured that your appliance will be installed safely and securely.
- I have a gas cooker but want to replace it with electric. Will you disconnect the old one?
As part of our installation service we will disconnect your old appliance. However, if you are changing the fuel type that your cooker or oven uses, then you’ll need to ensure your kitchen already has the correct supply that you're changing to. You can give us this information prior to delivery.
