    Upcycle: Father's Day Tie Holder

Go the extra mile this Father's day and make his present special with this DIY tie holder!

Create something unique this Father’s Day with this easy and fun DIY tie holder. It’s the perfect gift to help your Dad stay organised and stylish everyday.

    Here's what you'll need...

    • Coat hanger
    • Curtain rings x 8
    • Craft wire
    • Hot glue gun
    • Spray paint
    • Acrylic paint
    • Paint brush

    Step 1

Give the coat hanger a quick clean and a light sand if it’s wooden – this helps the paint stick better. Then, spray paint it in your chosen colour. Go bold, go classic, go glittery – it’s your call. Let it dry completely.

    Step 2

While the hanger’s drying, give the curtain rings a makeover with acrylic paint. You can go for a matching look or mix it up with different colours or patterns. Stripes, dots, even tiny moustaches – go wild.

    Step 3

Once everything’s dry, use the hot glue gun to attach the curtain rings along the bottom of the hanger. Space them out evenly – you want each tie to have its own little spot.

    Step 4

Use craft wire to shape a little message or design – maybe “DAD” or a heart – and glue it to the top or centre of the hanger. You could even paint a mini message or his initials on the hanger itself.

    The Big Reveal

And there you have it – a handmade tie holder that’s as unique as he is. It’s practical, personal, and guaranteed to make him smile every time he picks out a tie. Plus, you made it yourself – and that’s the best gift of all.
