How to create a bouncy blow dry with a Dyson Airwrap

The Dyson Airwrap helps you create this lifted, long-lasting look at home. That’s why we’ve put together this simple step-by-step guide to show you how to get a bouncy blow dry using your Dyson Airwrap.
What you’ll need:
- Dyson Airwrap
- The pre-styling dryer attachment
- Airwrap barrels (30mm for tighter curls or 40mm for looser waves)
- Hair clips
- Heat protectant
- Volumising mousse
- Flexible hold hairspray
- Shine spray or light oil (Optional)
How it’s done:
Step 1: Wash & prep
To freshly washed hair, pop in a heat protectant and a volumising mousse, working it through from roots to ends.
Step 2: Rough dry
Using the pre-styling dryer attachment, dry your hair about 80% of the way. Since the Airwrap barrels can’t get right up to the roots, get them nice and dry for some added volume.
Step 3: Section your hair
Use clips to divide your hair into 4-6 sections – the bottom, sides, and top. As your sectioning the hair, give it a quick comb to make sure there are no tangles.
Step 4 : Style
Starting with the bottom, wrap the hair around the Airwrap barrel and hold for 10-15 seconds. Use the cool shot function to set each curl before releasing.
Step 5: Final touches
Lightly mist with flexible hold hairspray to make sure those bouncy curls stay in place throughout the day.
