    Dyson airwrap Sleek straight blow dry

    What you’ll need:

    • Dyson Airwrap
    • Pre-styling dryer attachment
    • Brush attachment
    • Flyaway smoother attachment
    • Heat-protecting blow-dry cream
    • Hair clips
    • Smoothing serum or cream

    How it’s done:

    Step 1: Wash and prep

    • Towel-dry your hair after washing to remove any excess water.
    • Apply your heat-protecting blow-dry cream, starting with the ends and working up to the mid-lengths. If you’ve got any extra, you can add a small amount to the roots.

    Step 2: Rough dry

    • Attach the pre-styling dryer and use it until your hair’s around 80% dry. That’s the perfect level for styling with the Dyson Airwrap.

    Step 3: Section your hair

    • Divide your hair into 1-inch sections and clip the top layers out of the way. Styling smaller sections helps the Airwrap brush glide through your hair evenly to reduce frizz.

    Step 4: Final dry

    • Attach the smoothing brush and glide it slowly from root to end, maintaining gentle tension to smooth out the hair.
    • Use the cool setting to go over the same section again to lock in that sleek, glossy finish.

    Choose the finish you like best:

    Curved-under ends

    • Gently roll the brush under during the final 1–2 inches of the section and pause briefly before releasing. Finish with a quick cool shot to help the shape hold.

    Poker-straight ends

    • Keep the brush angle consistent and glide straight through to the tips without rolling. Use the cool setting to lock in an ultra-sleek finish.
      Repeat on every section.

    Extra tip:
    If the ends look uneven or start to flick out, just re-run the smoothing brush through the last section without using any heat.

    Step 5: Smooth it out

    • Attach the flyaway smoother and flick on the cool setting.
    • Glide it gently over any flyaway with a short, controlled pass from the mid-lengths to the ends to smooth out the cuticle and get that frizz-free finish. Make sure the airflow follows the same direction as your hair, keeping a light tension for the best results.
    • Repeat over every section.

    Step 6: The finishing touch

    • Work a small amount of smoothing serum or cream through the ends, working up to the mid-lengths to tame any remaining flyaways and add shine.

    Extra tips:

    • If your hair needs a bit more hold, add a light mist of hairspray.
    • Use any products sparingly. Adding too much can weigh your hair down.
    • For humid conditions, you can add a humidity-resistant serum or anti-frizz product to the outer layers of the hair and ends. This adds a barrier to stop moisture ruining your good work
