What’s new at CES 2019?

If you love the latest and greatest technology as much as we do, CES will be right up your street. It’s a tech fest that we guarantee will blow you away with mind-bending products from the hottest brands.

So, just what is CES?

Every year, the tech world descends on Sin City (Las Vegas) to drool over the future of electronics. CES opens its doors to over 180,000 visitors who get a glimpse of the latest gadgets. The tech can range from the super useful to the incredibly innovative, and this is where we get to see the future of what will be in our homes.

What has been announced at CES 2019?

CES has seen some weird and wonderful tech over the years, and CES 2019 is no exception. Samsung has been showing off a modular TV made up of MicroLEDs that lets you play around with the shape of the screen. LG unveiled their OLED TV R which features a flexible screen that rolls up when you aren’t using it – it’s really something that has to be seen to be believed. Away from the living room, CES 2019 has also seen a phone that flips into a tablet and a machine that folds a full load of laundry in five minutes. This year has also seen voice assistants become integrated in more products, so you can check the weather and traffic from products like your bathroom mirror.

How long has CES been going?

In 2017, the show celebrated its 50th anniversary. In those 50 years, it has become widely regarded as the go-to tech event in the calendar. Over the course of this half century of electronic madness, CES has been home to the first previews of camcorders, games consoles and video cassette recorders.
