What happened at Nintendo’s E3 2018 show?

Take a look at the top 6 games from Nintendo at E3 2018.

Nintendo showed off loads of games at their E3 2018 showcase. Whether you’re excited for 100-player showdowns and free-for-alls against faraway friends, or catching them all and partying with mates, we’ve got you covered. Here’s the lowdown on the top 6 games coming to Nintendo Switch.

The biggest game around is making its way to the Nintendo Switch. Fortnite pits 100 players in an epic battle royale where there’s only one winner. Build a fortress to defend yourself or go guns blazing to clinch victory.

With the Nintendo Switch version, you can get your squad together and team up to give you a better chance of winning. The best part? It’s out now and free to play, so board the Battle Bus and come out on top!

Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee

As the first Pokémon role-playing game to hit the Nintendo Switch, Pokémon Let’s Go is designed to be easily approachable for newcomers, while still giving veterans a challenge.

For the first time in the series, you use motion controls to throw Poké Balls with a flick of a wrist. These games also allow two-players to team up, so Trainers of all ages can catch ‘em all. Pokémon Let’s Go is out November 16th 2018, so get ready to return to Kanto and embark on an awesome adventure!

Super Mario Party

Nintendo also announced that Super Mario Party will make an appearance on the Switch. Packed with 80 skill-based minigames, you’ll be able to go head-to-head with friends anytime, anywhere.

You can even pair up a second Nintendo Switch console to create fun and unique game maps and mazes to compete in. Perfect for some light-hearted laughs, you can get the Super Mario Party started on October 5th 2018.

Overcooked 2

We also got a look at Overcooked 2, where you can choose to work with or against your fellow chefs. Create dishes in loads of different wacky kitchens while you knead, whisk and sauté your way to sweet, delicious victory.

Coming out on top is all about timing, so you’ll have to make sure the other cooks don’t spoil your broth! We’ve only got a few months to wait until Overcooked 2 is served, but it has definitely whet our appetite!

Starlink: Battle for Atlas

Travel through an entire star system in Starlink: Battle for Atlas. Fighting an evil robot force, you’ll need to assemble a fleet, and customise your starships, weapons and pilots if you want to stand a chance of defeating them.

Each planet you explore has its own ecosystem and wildlife but you’ll need your wits about you if you want to overcome the challenges of space. Starlink is out October 16th 2018, and the Nintendo Switch version lets you recruit the legendary Fox McCloud to your worthy cause.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Ever wanted to see Mario come to blows with Sonic, Pac-Man and Pikachu? Well now’s your chance. Nintendo showed gameplay from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, where you pick from an epic roster of characters to battle it out with friends.

Seriously, it’s staggering how many characters are in this game, even the dog from Duck Hunt is getting involved! We’ll have to wait until December 7th 2018 to get our hands on the game, but rest assured we’re starting our training as soon as possible.
